I saw a meme written, "If you never tasted a bad apple, you would not appreciate the good apple. You have to experience life to understand life." And there are more similar phrases that have the same meaning with that.

A false duality. It assumes that we cannot know or appreciate anything that does not have an exact and material opposite. Never mind that most opposites are assigned subjectively and after the fact, not facets of nature. On a grand scale, no one has ever experienced non-existence, but we seem to understand what existence is. On a far more limited scale, there is no material opposite to the color red, but we seem to have some idea what red is and some even enjoy the color red. There are many foods that people hold as their favorites, but there is no such thing as an "opposite food." The pizza I love does not have an opposite by which I can judge its value. Likewise, you do not need to experience a bad experience in order to appreciate a good life. This is just making excuses for life being shitty, removing the responsibility for life being shitty from human nature and placing it on the universe.
